I would like to thank all who took part and special thanks to LEO POLLARD, SHEILA ANDERSON and JACKIE ROBERTS for their help with marshalling and timekeeping.
It proved to be a good  and well contested race for all the competitors, but again, apart from a couple of apologies, it could have been a better turn out, I had worked out handicaps for 30 regular competing members.
The meeting and refreshments ( plenty of it) at the Bridge went very well, again thanks to all who contributed to the meeting and to Jane for taking the minutes (these will be published later)

Moonraker 10K at Middleton,5th August 2007

A good turnout of 9 Lostock runners considering everyones aches and pains and the fatigue of those who did Borrowdale the day before. It did become quite warm during the course of the morning which was a change for people to run in after the long wet spell but a nice setting for the race and a good atmosphere.A call of nature meant that the race started with Mick and myself  at the back of the field ( well....actually in a field) but it did get the adrenalin going trying to catch up, serves us boys right for always going everywhere in twos . Well done everyone. Club meeting

Attention all members,

You will all be aware that the next Club Meeting is on Wed 1st August (it is on the callender), it will take place at the Bridge Hotel at 9.00pm. and everyone is welcome. It is an opportunity for us all to discuss and ponder new ideas for keeping our Club moving forward, passing on any information and most important of all a chance for us to socialise and meet the new members.

Prior to the meeting is the Chairmans Race - an approx. 5mile handicap race around the tracks behind Rivington High School - with the recent success of the Lostock/Burnden Challenge I hope you will all support us in this event.
We will meet on the junction of the track and the concrete road just behind Rivington High School at 7.00pm to race at 7.15pm, it will be the usual staggered start, the handicaps will be sorted by me (bribes accepted). the presentation will be at the Bridge as part of the meeting.
If you cannot run for any reason I would be very much obliged if you would still turn up and assist with marshalling.(If you are able to marshall please let me know ASAP)
There will be a cost of £2.00 per person towards the cost of Prizes/supper.

There will be no training session from the Leisure Centre on this night, but you will be able to shower there after the race.

You will be able to pay your camp fees at the meeting.

Thanks to you all for your anticipated support

Lostock v Burnden Challenge

After a series of intriguing tussles in which the two clubs could hardly be separated, Lostock A.C. eventually ran out comfortable winners in the inaugural Lostock v Burnden Challenge on Wednesday. With a history of very close battles between the two local rivals, the Lostock club are now proud to be the first name on the new trophy and the race will now become an annual event.

Races as diverse as the Haigh Hall Relays, Man v Horse Marathon, and the Isle of Jura Fell Race have recently seen Lostock and Burnden locked in the closest of contests with very little to choose between the two clubs. It was therefore decided to hold a head to head challenge race to compete for local pride and a new challenge trophy.

For two of the area’s smaller clubs there was a fantastic turn out, and 38 runners in the green vests of Lostock and the silver and black of Burnden lined up in driving rain to run for local bragging rights – and hot-pot in the local pub.

On a testing six mile off-road course around Anglezarke, Lostock’s Keith Thomas was first home in time of 36:56 followed by Burnden’s Andy Staveley in 37:40. Next home was Lostock’s Mick Green in 38:45 chased by Martyn Pollitt (40:16) for the Burnden club, and the clubs looked set for yet another close run thing. However Lostock then showed superior strength in depth with Neil Smith, Stewart Jones and Pete Hopley all in the chasing pack, and the trophy was heading for Lostock.

Lesley Fisher regained some pride for Burnden by claiming the prize for first Lady in a time of 44:05.

The night belonged to Lostock, but Burnden made a fight of it, and the Challenge looks sure to become a keenly contested race in the local fixture list for years to come.

Dear Mr Hope,

On behalf of Ladywood School, please could you extend our sincere thanks to all at Lostock Running Club for the kind donation of £242.oo which was raised through Hendersons End Fell Race and Lostock Mystery Tour.

To -- All Who Supported Hannah.

Please find below a message from Hannah's Mum & Dad regarding our recent very well attended Treasure Hunt

"Thankyou so much for coming and joining us on our Fundraising Treasure Hunt. It was lovely to see so many of you willing to get wet. Thanks to the money raised we have been able to purchase Hannah some Fibre Optic lights for her room which will help her relax, but hopefully will also encourage her grasping skills and touch. We also donated some of the funds to Mayfield school where we have asked for the money to be spent on some sensory equipment for Hannahs class. We are truely gratefull that you helped to raise these funds and I am sure Hannah will get many hours of pleasure from her lights."

Yours Very Sincerely

Steven and Cheryl

Lostock V Burnden Challenge - 4th July 2007

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!

We are organising a fun event challenging Burnden RR’s to a club race on Wednesday 4th of July. The route is approximately 6 mile essentially around Anglezarke reservoir starting and finishing at the Bowling Green (Jubilee registration), and is therefore flattish on and off-road.

The plan is to add together the finishing times of all who complete the course and the team with the shortest time wins. This format has the following advantages.

1) Every second of every runner counts

2) Everybody’s contribution to the race is equal

3) There is no bias for age/gender or ability- the best overall club will win

4) The outcome cannot be predicted

Obviously the same number of runners have to take part therefore we need to get some idea of numbers taking part, we will also need some non-runners for timing and marshalling. Therefore please advise of your commitment to take part.

We are arranging a tasty supper at the Bay Horse after the event, and between the clubs we are buying a suitable trophy for the winning team to defend next year.

Those following recent events will note that there is very little difference between the clubs over a range of distances, therefore it should be a real nail-biter.

Once we have finalised the finer details I will forward another e-mail, in the meantime please let me know if you can take part.

No excuses now,

Pete

Club Secretary

The Isle of Jura Fell Race 2007

The Isle of Jura Fell Race 2007

At last years Man V Horse I mentioned Jura as a race to do to celebrate my 40th birthday. Andy Staveley quickly pointed out that as it had been said, it had to be done. A little bit of research into the event caused warning bells to ring. The words “extreme”, “testing” and “navigation” were always mentioned and I knew enough about the fell running fraternity to recognise that these were no idle warnings. And so it came to pass that myself, Neil Smith, Mick Green, Pete Noble, Andy Staveley, Martyn Pollitt all set sail for the Isle of Jura.

Challenge 1 : The Getting There

Jura is remote, very remote, well, very, very remote. A long drive, 4 ferries and a couple of bus journeys are required to get there. Hardy types cycle across the islands and proper athletes walk it.( Pete Noble). I was concerned for my energy levels so I flew to the neighbouring island of Islay but still had to jump( gingerly) in an out of taxis to complete the journey. The effort however was well worth it; Jura is staggeringly beautiful, and unspoilt. The island is dominated by the Paps (big volcanic looking mountains) and fringed with sandy beaches and aquamarine waters (honest).

Challenge 2 : The Staying There

Once again there are easy and hard options; hotel/B+B and camping, Now some of you may be aware of my aversion to the art of camping, but in this instance I think the “campers” may well agree. Mauling around in a sweaty, enclosed space, in Scotland, in the rain, with midges the size of fruit bats trying to eat you is, in my opinion, just making life far too difficult for yourself. The fact the hotel sells midge proof garments speaks volumes.

Mick and Caroline, Andy Staveley and Martyn Pollitt and Pete Noble thought differently and braved it under the canvas, and to be fair the weather was kind and the showers finally worked on the Saturday.
In contrast, our B+B was lovely, hot showers, nice food, a roof and closable windows, no bee keeping apparel required whatsoever.

Challenge 3 : The Race

This bit I couldn’t wimp out of. 16 miles, 7500 ft of climbing, it’s hard, very hard. The Paps loom over the island a bit like Mount Etna – but bigger and there are three of them ( OK smaller but you get my drift). They seem from a distance unclimbable, probably because close up they are unclimbable, well almost. The race takes you through deep bogs and over 7 mountain summits (3 being the Paps). The climbs are stiff and the descents are through sheer scree and it’s all on the move. Boulders the size of tables are sliding about and bouncing down the hillsides, as are some of the runners. This is the extreme bit previously mentioned, and is something I had never experienced before. It was more akin to snowboarding than running at times ( I couldn’t do that either!).The views were stunning and fortunately as the weather was superb we didn’t need to navigate as there were enough people to follow. It was very sociable though, as most people in the race seem to pass me by and spare a few words of wisdom such as “wait until you see the next climb” and “if you think this bits hard”, and “don’t worry the sheer drop’s over there” usual stuff.
The last three miles are flat and on the road, which was a welcome surface to run on and I even managed to pass a few runners. I never quite managed to pass Pete Noble though I was within yards of him before he spotted me and did what I can only describe as a “comedy sprint” and shuffled over the line wracked with cramp. Great welcome home from the team and Sheila who I think was beginning to worry a little.

A fine day and probably the most rewarding running experience I’ve had.

Challenge 4 : The Piss-up

The Lostock and Burnden contingent were on firmer ground with the post race drinking and ceilidh, despite the rigours of the day. Mick and Caroline were last “men” standing and partied well into the wee hours. We were all a little delicate the next day.

Challenge 5 : The Getting Home

As above in reverse, but longer

Challenge 6 : The Next Challenge

We are open to ideas for next year’s excursion.

Thanks to all who joined me on the quest. Our runners; Mick, Neil, Pete, Andy and Martyn and our supporters, Liz, Caroline and Sheila. A great, great weekend. Results as listed (side issue).

Allan Jones 196th, 9th V60 1:19:31

A very dreary day, wet, windy and on the chilly side - brightened up by Allans' tan and cheery disposition although he'd been working hard on his 'excuse' of jet lag as to any dodgy performance!!

Keith was putting his new method of 'running with his watch' to the test and I think it's fair to say he had a brilliant run finishing 23rd overall in a more than respectable time of a shade over 58 minutes.

Stewart, Dave and Allan also produced some fine running with the latter hot on my heels, could almost hear him breathing down my neck!

It's a lapped course for those that haven't done this one before, a well run race with marshalls in abundance! Mile markers on the course and the 9 mile marker was particularly welcome!

The after race fruit was plentiful and mighty tasty and most definately welcomed!

Well done chaps!

Emma

Simonstone 10k Nr Burnley 20th May

First time this race had been run so decided to have a go as a part of my hill training. Did expect it to be hilly but what a hard effort is needed to judge and get the pace right for a steady climb to beyond the 2 1/2 K point then undulating and a long down hill to the finish.Only 63 runnners on this first time out but a nice venue , a challenging event, and good views if you have the energy left to look around when you get to the top.One runner suggested it was like a fell run on tarmac.

Radcliff 10k

Well done and thanks to those who ran in the Radcliffe 10k and their supporters. Good efforts over the tracks and pathways which make it an interesting venue to race with of course the fast finish at the end around the running track field spurred on by the spectators.Exciting to watch the final dashes and personal battles at the finish particularly Emma battling to and fro with the runners along side her right into the finish funnel. Well done on your first road race for the club.Good run by Dave Clemence getting close to his PB for the race .I beat last years time in a hard race with a group of Horwich runners which I aimed to try to keep with originally but ended up overtaking them in the later stages. Felt strangely chuffed! Now we are into the Grand Prix season please try to come along to support the races as it is motivating to know that you are running for team points as well as for your own position and times.
Regards Keith

London Marathon 2007 results

Congratulations should go to the brave ladies who combatted the heat of London last Sunday & performed well in the Marathon.

Jackie, Jane , Nyree & Mel have put in lots of hard work in training over the Winter. All came home safely and all can be proud of their achievements in what was considered by many to be the hardest of all the London Marathons as regards the running conditions. All will have their own tales to tell of hardships overcome before & during the race !!! -- most of us can only try to imagine what it is like running a race with over 36,000 competitors.

See attached a picture of two very tired girls -- when you see them , ask them about their encounter with Indiana Jones & his boulder !!!

ALLAN’S MYSTERY TOUR- 25th April 2007

Once again the idyllic Jones’ Estate will be the setting for the annual “Mystery Tour” an event inspired and conceived by the “Duo of the Fells” alias Sale and Jones. (Allan and Geoff)

This year to boost numbers the event will be held on a Wednesday, a night where all are already committed to doing at least some running, why not, therefore extend the evening to include a barbeque and the odd beverage?

The details……

The event is essentially a treasure hunt. Each team (ideally pairs) will be issued with a map with locations and a set of cryptic (read daft/obscure/off the wall) clues. Points are earned by correctly answering/guessing answers to the clues.
Each team has 90 minutes to amass as many points as possible. Points are deducted for time over the 90 mins- that’s where the running comes in.

Shortly afterwards Allan fires up the barbeque and we all have a few beers ahead of the prize giving.

Teams are set off on arrival, first pairs are to start at 6pm and realistically the last need to start before 7.30pm.

So just turn up, as soon as possible you don’t have to already be in a team, bring some warm clothes for afterwards.

All are welcome, it’s not just for Lostock members, even if you can’t run- it’s a great event, an awful lot of effort goes into it from Geoff and Allan.

The cost for entry and barbeque is £4.00 per head and drinks are charged at £1.00 per can/bottle;

The venue is Allan’s home so if you need to bring the kids then please ensure you keep them supervised at all times.

NAVIGATION WEEKEND - MARCH 2007

Back in the Autumn months a few Lostock members decided it would be a good idea to learn how to read a map! Well, It seemed the sensible thing for me given the threat of replacement for some fancy electronic sat-nav system!

The Navigation course is run by the Fell Runners Association and the particular one we were attending was in Kettlewell - not far from Skipton (for those without sat-nav!)

It’s a full weekend and for those thinking it’s an excuse for a knees up (well everyone EXCEPT Lostock!) then they would be in for a shock.

We all arrived roughly the same time and quickly recce’d the area and counted that there were indeed 3 pubs. First challenge ticked off. A quick bite to eat and a pint or two just to settle the nerves and it was straight to the youth hostel. Not being a YH girl myself I was pleasantly surprised with the building we were in, clean, tidy and spacious and the organisation was a triumph.

I was sharing a room with 4 other runners from various parts of the country and unfortunately just happened to be right next door to an extremely rowdy bunch - think their names were John, Ian, Pete, Adrian, Jason and Matt!!!

The first session of the weekend (that is, a serious navigation session nothing beer related!), started on the Friday night at 8pm, rather unfair really - we were still settling in!! Initially we were shown how to open a map - and for some that was indeed a struggle! Which way to turn the map and what exactly the real use of a compass was!

It primarily involved lots of adults in a room turning themselves round in circles, and I have to say made absolutely little sense whatsoever! I was assured however, that all would become very clear.

So, with that done and rounded off at 9.30 it was a quick stroll to the nearest watering hole for deep discussions into what had been learned so far with maybe the odd anecdote thrown in.

It became clear pretty quickly that there is a last orders and all night drinking doesn’t go on in Kettlewell! Just as well as it was a 6.30am alarm call for the mornings run.

Saturday morning began with an opened eye and a toe tentatively poking out from under the duvet to determine how cold it REALLY was. The rain had made it’s presence felt all night long - bunking under the eaves saw to that! A choice of running apparel had to be made all kitted out 10 minutes later and still bleary eyed it was a quick shuffle downstairs to meet and greet the rest of the ‘dedicated’ runners. Lots of mumblings were going on about the route choice but the unanimous decision of run for 20 minutes turn round and run back for 20 was the general consensus.

Off we went, down a lane, round a corner then UP, up, up and more up. 23 minutes it took to get to a suitable turning point - bearing in mind I couldn’t see the front lot! A quick turn around and 9 minutes to get back again, working up an appetite for breakfast!

Breakfast was a veritable feast and there was certainly plenty of it. Followed by another decision as to what to wear, the wind was pretty strong and it was mighty chilly out there. The majority of folk came down looking 3 stone heavier and pretty rounded!

We were put into groups based on prior or absolutely no experience, my being the latter.

The exercise for the day was to be guided to various checkpoints and then shadowed to others. The instructors were brilliant, ours Dave, had the patience of a Saint and believe me Shirley, Gemma and I must have tested it!

Packed lunches were collected and off we went. The day was fun, educational and in parts hard going, although I feel that was more to do with the fact it was cold, wet and windy, after a few hours on the fells and lunch huddled behind a rock we were certainly getting ready for a nice cup of steaming hot coffee.

Alas - no sneaking off early we were to put the days teachings into practice At 2.30 everybody regrouped and we were ‘released’ individually round a mini orienteering course. Only I managed to lose everybody although am happy to say DID manage to get round and find all the checkpoints - erm…. eventually!!

On the way back down to the YH stomping with force (due to being cross at being hopeless!) I passed a large group of people all huddled together - it didn’t cross my mind to stop and investigate (hot showers and coffee were beckoning - SORRY John) it transpires that after completing the exercise John (Smith) had slipped getting back onto the path, landed awkwardly and what others thought may have been a strained ankle turned out to be a rather nasty break.

The leaders all pulled together and crafted some sort of contraption/seat to get John off the hill - they did comment it was good practice just a shame John broke his ankle in order for them to get the practice! They did a fantastic job and I know John himself spoke very highly of the efficiency, support and help he had received from them.

Whilst John was in hospital getting plastered (!) the rest of us were tucking into a 3 course meal which I have to say was superb and just what was needed. The only down side was that no sooner had the plates been cleared it was time for the night time exercise!

Another change of gear - running out of dry things by now! Head torches donned we were paired up with our team mate and sent off out into the cold wet and still very windy darkness in two’s. The exercise was to navigate round a course locating orienteering flags then clip a card - although due to the amount of rain that was pelting down most of these cards became fairly unrecognisable.

This for me was the highlight of the weekend - absolutely loved it - all that Wednesday night running over Winter Hill came in use - just wish I could run in the daylight like that!

Quick shower and thaw out and it was time for a well earned rest/drink! The whole group all managed to squish into 1 pub where it’s fair to say we became fairly comfortable, sadly lacking our ’leader’ John though who was dosed up on painkillers and trying to get a couple of hours sleep before the rabble turned up. Think I can speak for all and say that a good night was had - must have been good as my head was telling me so in the morning!

Needless to say for the majority the 6.30 alarm for the Sunday morning run was completely ignored, for the most I’m guessing it was due to the snow on the ground and the fact the snow was STILL falling in blizzard like proportions - global warming at it’s height?! Legend has it that whilst the rest of us snoozed, Pete ‘the die hard’ Hopley managed to get out for that run and zip up the hill no problem. I believe there is even photographic evidence of this - think he was the only one in shorts mind!!

The rest of us began the day at the more civilised hour of 7.30! Having another big breakfast and regrouping for the days instruction. Which, basically involved all setting off individually to navigate a rather complicated looking course, bearing in mind we had spent the first couple of hours of the morning plotting all the grid references on the map and getting last minute instructions/advice/help - anything other than the instructor’s doing it for us! We were let loose once more and for the final time on the contours, spurs and re-entrants of the Yorkshire fells (see, I DID learn something!) Some decided to put everything into practice and have a good ‘run’ into the bargain, whilst others took a more sedate approach and had more of a ‘stroll’ around the area taking in the scenery (honest, nothing to do with a bad head whatsoever!)

We all got back to the Hostel at varying times devouring our days packed lunch both wearily and triumphantly yet sad in the knowledge the weekend had come quickly to a close.

The planning, organisation, structure and content of the weekend was excellent and the experience, helpfulness, patience and understanding of all those that went into making this happen was second to none.

I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone and say not only was it exceptional value for money it was an experience unlikely to be repeated - well unless we can get on the Elterwater one!

Night running

Off road in winter?

Surely not - what? It's dark, wet, and can't be safe - can it?

Back in October just before the clocks went back and thoroughly enjoying the Wednesday evening fell runs, the realisation dawned that it wouldn't be as easy as this for much longer. Already the nights were drawing in and the familiar distinct chill in the air was becoming apparent.

Pavement pounding was becoming more of a reality - or was it? For those of us that just do prefer mud, sludge, hills and bogs the tarmac wasn?t an option.

So, an intrepid few, myself included, who to be fair had no idea what to expect - invested in head torches, after much deliberation I hasten to add - did you know just how many there are to choose from, it's worse than shopping for shoes!

The head torch arrived inducing much mirth in the Gregory household however it has been noted that certain family members have found the head torch rather useful when retrieving decorations from the loft this Christmas!!

I have to say our first couple of outings were rather disappointing! Why? At the end of October it just wasn't going dark early enough! Here we were, all kitted out, head torches at the ready. Batteries fully charged, eagerly anticipating the star lit dark blanket covering the west Pennine moors yet it was still dusk as we neared the end of our runs!

Fear not, no sooner had Autumn taken a full hold with the icy breath of Winter whispering in our ears we had the full impact of night running thrust upon us. Not the easiest of initiations either as Mother Nature has thrown her worst at us on numerous occasions. Not only was the weather against us but those first tentative steps off road was rather like watching Bambi trying to skate! It is however something that does get easier with practice!

It is true to say that I would make a pretty lousy navigator as even after almost 4 months of running in the dark every path still looks the same! Thankfully we do have someone who does know where he is going!

But, it is true running in the dark isn't as mad or as daring as it sounds.

The trods around Rivington, the Pike, Two lads etc are pretty clear and for the uninitiated relatively straight forward underfoot. Apparently, running in the dark makes you more surefooted although I'll let you know if that is the case after a few races in the daylight!

On average about 5 of us turnout for a run on occasion there have been more hopefully all enjoying it as much as I do, the pace is obviously slower in the dark and we do all stick together (the advantage of this of course is there is even more light cast!) and we tend to miss out the tricky descents and stick to the well marked routes, although we have been known to venture down the back of winter hill in the howling gale and freezing cold with a rapidly fading light due to battery failure!

No, it seems you don't have to be cloven footed mountain goat with the night vision of a bat to run off road in the winter, but you do need a sense of humour and fully charged batteries!!

We set off every Wednesday from the Leisure centre in Horwich and run for about an hour ,so for anybody who can feel the call of the wild or is just a little bit curious as to what exactly it is like then please feel free to join us - the loan of spare headtorches can be arranged - no excuses!!

Haigh Hall Relays

SATURDAY 17TH MARCH 2007

I WOULD FIRST LIKE TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO THANK ALL THE LOSTOCK MEMBERS WHO TURNED OUT FOR THESE RELAYS

We started the day entering two team, one mixed team and one veteran's team
The mixed team was made up of Dave Clemence, Duncan Crompton, Derek Lord and Caroline Scholes.
On the start line first was Duncan, this I have to say is probably in my opinion the hardest leg as most of the really fast runners go first and you get swept along to fast at the beginning and normally pay for it coming back up the hill to the finish. Duncan made his mark with a very good time 26:19 bringing his team (mixed team) home in second place. The next person on standby to run the second leg was Caroline, off she went, if those of you reading this don't know, the course is a new one and was changed last year extending the course to 3.9 miles, half downhill and the other half up hill. Caroline did a very good job keeping her team in second place with a very good time of 27:01, she handed over to Derek Lord who is a relatively new runner for the club, those of you who don't know him that's because you don't turn up for the track on a Tuesday, this is the place that we normally get our new runners to sign up.( Well Done Pete Hopley). So off Derek goes, and making his way strongly around the course with a time of 26:39 pulls the team to first overall mixed team, now it's really getting exciting, can we hang on, after all this is Lostock we're talking about. Derek hands over to Dave, who as we know has been out for a very long period, so this was the moment of truth; can Dave keep us in pole position?
As Dave is taking his top off near the start line they release the entire last leg runners together, Dave throw's his top down and quickly set off. Can he hang on I hear you say, well Dave crosses the finish line in a fantastic time of 25:30 bringing the team home in first position, Well done team.
Can I Just mention Again, 1st Mixed Team? Well Done

Now we move on to our other team which is our veterans team consisting of Keith Thomas, Arnold Melling, Neil Smith and Mick Green.
On the start line first is Keith, now we all know that Keith is running very well, but let me tell you he has been plagued with the flue and a back injury. Keith sets off and finishes in a remarkable time of 21:51, which puts the team in overall place of 7th and 1st vet. Keith hands over to Arnold and he puts in a very respectable time of 24:15 keeping us in fist vets position. I would like to mention albeit he doesn't like anyone knowing but Arnold is almost 60 years old. Arnold then hands over to Neil, who has been putting in the miles which is part of his preparation to run a long distance race later on in May, but hasn't done any speed, and we all know to run this type of race you do need speed. Neil finished his leg in a creditable 24:56 and puts us back in third position. Neil hands over to Mick Green, well what can I say, Mick is running very well indeed and to turn out to run for the team after what he and his family are going through is just remarkable. Mick I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of all the Lostock runners, just to say our thoughts and prayers are with you and you're family. Mick finishes in a magnificent time of 23:18 placing the veterans team third overall.
I would like to mention that this was a tremendous effort from all four runners and would like to add the final statistics: -
Keith Thomas finished in 1st position for leg one (Vets)
Arnold Melling finished in 1st position for leg two (Vets)
Neil Smith finished in 3rd position for leg three (Vets)
Mick Green finished in 3rd position for leg four (Vets)

Vets Fastest of all Legs (top ten)
1st Keith Thomas
7th Mick Green
WELL DONE TO BOTH TEAMS, THIS IS A GREAT ADVERT FOR LOSTOCK AC
