Great for everyone there to see a turn out to make our presence felt and get on the mens and ladies team boards. Picturesque venue around the Astley Hall and park , well worth a run at any time with it being on the doorstep. Undulating trail course on quite a warm evening meant it took its toll on those trying to get back into racing or training after a spell out or getting back after big races especially the 3rd time up the hill to get to the finish. Nice to see John and Jackie racing as Johns Birthday treat, much better than a present ...Heh. Team places for mens and Ladies in an overall turnout of 213. .. well done . We need to keep this up with more depth of runners at all levels to keep us on the team boards when some runners may be away doing their specialist events or injured. These trail races are interesting for both our road and fell groups.Lets race more to support each other whether as meeting up venues for training or to encourage those pushing for more competitive goals. Nice to see Dave Pearson cheering us on and continuing with his regime to get back to fitness. Thanks Keith Thomas Road Race Captain.
