wilmslow half marathon 29th march

IT'S NEVER TO LATE FOR A PB .....................

Two lostock runners ran this event today, it should have been a team of three only Stewart did the wise thing pulled out due to an injury he picked up mid week. Keith and Pete locked horns and both had two superb runs. Pete who said he had not been training of late ran in at 1hr 25mins 18secs, do you believe he has been doing some secret training, but must admit he was shattered when he finished and he said he just ran with his head as his body was somewhere else.
Keith, who is in full training mode for his forthcoming London Marathon and to be fair said he was a little tired and I can vouch for fact that he has the makings of a cold did a good demolition job of the 4000 runners behind him and pulled off a PB for a half marathon and ran home in 1hr 17mins 16secs . These two only last week were kings of Haigh Hall relays vets team so something good at Lostock is happening and may it continue, as of late people are looking at Lostock and sitting up especially when the boys go and collect their prizes and a mighty roar errupts from the little band of followers out doing all and sundry with the noise.
A big well done has to be said for you both today and may the weather be just as glorious next year as it was today and may Lostock be as glorious as well .

keith t 2nd vet 50 and 74th position
pete h 23rd in vet 40 and 176 position .

I also have to say a very well done to Keith and Pete.
It would be nice to see other members out even if they are not running as it was a glorious day and the runners deserve a little support, so come on make the effort. Its Gin Pit 5 miles this Sunday maybe more of you can make the effort and do the race, it’s on our doorstep, so come on Lostock

If Lostock want to advertise themselves then putting your club colours on and attending races is the best way to do it .I joined Lostock after meeting and talking to Adrian Hope at a local race . How did I know his running club ? by reading it on his running top .
